At Triton, we believe in pushing athletes to develop and showcase individual athleticism within the game and embrace team concepts such as leadership and communication. We are committed to building a greater Tri-Valley Water Polo community and strive to connect our players, parents, and coaches for the betterment of our athletes' bright futures.

Training Structure

Athletes will participate in 4 - 5 weekly practices throughout the year, depending on the season and the focus. Workout focuses will change throughout the year based on tournament load and season.

Triton Flex Practices

M/W - Dry-Land Conditioning /Mobility Training @ 7:00 PM - We will run a dynamic dry-land warm-up to encourage bodyweight strength training, core work, and mobility improvement. This will safely help athletes to build up strength and prevent injury.

T/TH - Chalk Talk/Flim Review (Classroom) @ 7:00 PM -  In these sessions, we will review team strategy topics, check both our games, and watch high-level pro/college/Olympic games. This will be an excellent opportunity for classroom-structured learning and a way for our parents to get involved.

Summer Practice Times

Summer practices will run from May 13th - July 25th. Practice times are subject to change based on facility availability.

This information will give our coaches valuable insights into the group and individual training sessions.

Europe Trip 2024 TBA

Every other year, competition team athletes will be given the opportunity to travel to Europe to train with some of the best clubs in the world and explore the local culture. These trips are typically 10 - 12 days after Junior Olympics before school starts. This trip would replace the Maui Invitational for that year. The next planned trip is July 2024. Athletes can make monthly contributions for the trip with monthly dues. In some cases, we will combine with another club with like-minded development programs to ensure a quality learning experience for our athletes.

High School Swim Season Conflicts

We understand the importance of high school swim season and the need for flexibility. While participating in the Futures League and Junior Olympics, we expect our teams to prioritize training with the club as much as possible during the Spring season. We suggest working with your swim coach to create a training plan that allows for both club practice and swim meets. If you require a customized training plan to meet minimum high school swim practice requirements, please contact alex@tritonaquatics.org.
